Phone Windows 7 is the new version of the smartphone operating system from Microsoft, which presented it to the Mobile World Congress February 15, 2010. It is completely different from all previous versions of Windows Mobile; supports multitouch capacitive screens, has a new graphical user interface very similar to that of HD and Zune brings into a single platform content on Xbox Live and Zune. It also handles the accounts of social networks like Facebook and Twitter, and has a new version of Internet Explorer based on Windows Internet Explorer 7 with some elements of the version 8. This version of Windows Mobile Phone will contain an edition of Office 2010 with Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote and Sharepoint.
This new operating system was introduced under the name Windows 7 Phone Series, and thereafter to make the logo more streamlined and easy to remember, Microsoft has decided to eliminate the "Series".
Microsoft stated that Windows 7 Phone was marketed in time for the Christmas holidays of 2010. In Europe was put on sale October 22, 2010, to coincide with the release of the first models of devices targati HTC, LG and Samsung. For the launch in the U.S. will have to wait for November.
